History

Terry Thomas, owner and president of Caption and Subtitle Services, started in the caption industry in 1995 where she held the position of Captioning Director for a non-profit 501(c) 3 agency, which focused on ministering to the deaf population.  Her background prior to taking this position was involved in corporate video in Chicago for over 13 years.  After the board of directors of the agency decided to focus exclusively on deaf ministry services directly with the deaf population, the caption department was dissolved.  However, Terry had over 5 years invested in this segment of the industry.  As a result, her desire was to couple her previous video production experience with serving clients and promoting the benefits of captioning which lead to her starting this business, Captions and Subtitle Services, in 2000.

Throughout the years, the increase in demand for captions and subtitles has grown tremendously, thus the growth of this company as well.  Captions and Subtitle Services has a team of expert captionists as well as transcribers, translators and personnel for technical support.  We stand ready as part of your team to help you achieve a successful caption and/or subtitle project.  Why not offer caption/subtitle services to your clients and make it a profit center for your company?
