Assemble Captions from EDL

When editing video that contains closed caption data, any cuts or inserts will cause the original caption track to no longer match the edited sequence.  Also, any rendering can cause deletion of closed caption data.  The result would be for the video to be recaptioned.  Captions and Subtitle Services has a solution for any changes to your video sequence.  Our caption software can find the original captioning data, conform it to match the edited sequence using an EDL or Edit Decision List, and re-insert it into the final video (including other video formats) after all the editing is completed.  Please call to discuss the details of your project when reediting a captioned video sequence.

Extracting CC signal

Captions and Subtitle Services has the capabilities to ‘extract’ a captioned signal from a recorded video tape master, DVD and or digital files w/ closed captions.  For example, some clients have many programs that are on video that they may want to have on DVD or digital file now.  If your video is captioned, we can extract the signal and export it to accommodate the DVD authoring process or digital file requested, saving you time and money.  There is no need to spend additional money on the caption process again. This opens the opportunity to repurpose your captioned video tape masters to web video formats with captions such as YouTube, Flash, and QuickTime Podcast.
